Limited Warranty and Warning

1-Year Limited Warranty

Your new Pig Brig® Product is covered by a 1-year limited warranty (the “Limited Warranty”). This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. The Warranty was last updated on October 1, 2025.

A. Products covered by this Limited Warranty

This Limited Warranty extends to all components of Pig Brig® Trap Systems (including net-only and component purchases), Brig Baiter baiting systems, and Trap Trigger systems (the “System” or “Systems”) sold by Field Engine Wildlife Research and Management LLC dba Pig Brig® Trap Systems (“Pig Brig®”), and purchased directly from Pig Brig® (pigbrig.com) or an authorized retailer. This Limited Warranty extends to all parts of the above products and components but specifically excludes the External Ground Anchors. This Limited Warranty does not extend to clearance systems, or clearance products.

The Systems are designed to work as illustrated in the User Guide included with your purchase or other instructions published on the Pig Brig® website (www.pigbrig.com). This Warranty does not cover your System if you use it in a manner incompatible with the intended design. If you cannot locate specific instruction documents, please contact us at info@pigbrig.com.

B. Who this Warranty extends to

This Limited Warranty extends to the original purchaser of any System.

All Pig Brig® warranties, including any implied warranties, are valid only for the period of time the System is owned by the original purchaser of the System. The “original purchaser,” for the purposes of this Warranty, is the first purchaser of the System from Pig Brig® or an authorized retailer. Please retain a copy of your receipt as proof of purchase. The Pig Brig® Limited Warranty is not transferable.

C. Pig Brig®’s Limited Warranty and Responsibilities

Pig Brig® warrants the Systems sold to you in its original packaging against Defects (defined below) for a period of 1 year from the date of the original System purchase (“Warranty Period”) by you when the System is used normally for its intended purposes as outlined in the User Guide or other relevant instructions.

D. What This Limited Warranty Covers

This Limited Warranty applies to the following potential defects (the “Defects”):

Substantial material and factory assembly omissions, including missing system components, missing grommets, unstitched seams or borders, or broken mesh bars discovered prior to usage.
Any unusually frayed materials that could impede System function or strength despite normal usage and proper handling.
Significant rust on items made from zinc-plated steel or stainless steel.
Tears in a Pig Brig® Trap System during normal use (where normal use is as specified in the User Guide or other relevant instruction) of more than 8 mesh squares in a row.

This Limited Warranty does not cover the following:

Reasonable wear and tear of the System, including minor damage to the netting of less than 8 mesh squares in a row. Note that minor damage to the netting may occur during normal use and can be repaired with parachute cord or other twine of heavy gauge and tensile strength (e.g., twisted nylon). Please call or email for authorization to conduct these types of repairs, to allow us to evaluate the damage, or with related questions.
Replacement of the System due to a personal preference for a different system configuration.
Physical abuse or unusual damage to the System, including but not limited to burns, cuts, tears resulting from abnormal use, extensive sun damage, damage by corrosive liquids, where the defect is caused by such abuse or damage.
Replacement of any non-damaged components in the System (for example, if a cam strap fails, we will not replace the entire System, but will only replace the damaged part).
Any System sold by resellers who are not authorized retailers or resellers.
Systems sold “as-is”, “preconditioned”, “reconditioned”, “used”, “returned”, “previously owned”, or any other similar wording indicating that the System is not “new” or of “first quality” or has previously been purchased or used by another consumer.

If a covered Defect arises during the Warranty Period, Pig Brig®’s sole and exclusive liability and your sole remedy under this Limited Warranty will be, at Pig Brig®’s sole option, to:

Provide repair items at no charge using new parts or parts equivalent to new in performance and reliability (“Repair Materials”); or
Replace the Product with a product of equivalent functionality and reliability formed from new and/or previously used parts (“Replacement System”); or
Refund the original purchase price; and
Ship your Repair Materials or Replacement System to you, if applicable.

This remedy is subject to your fulfillment of “Your Responsibilities” below.

Replaced or repaired Systems are subject to the same Limited Warranty as the original System. If you obtain a replaced or repaired System, the warranty term of the replaced or repaired System begins from the date of purchase of the original System. If you purchase an Upgrade System (defined below), a new warranty term will begin upon the purchase of the Upgrade System.

E. Your responsibilities

In the event of a Defect and in order to get the benefit of this Limited Warranty, you must return any replaced System to Pig Brig®. For replaced or repaired Systems, you must provide Pig Brig® with proof of the original date of purchase. Should shipping costs be required to return your System, you will not be responsible for those costs. You may be required to provide information or documentation (such as photographs) for review.

Evidence of a Defect and any claims must be sent to the email address set forth at the end of this Limited Warranty (info@pigbrig.com).

If you wish to replace your System that is eligible for replacement with a more expensive System (an “Upgrade System”), then please e-mail Pig Brig® at the e-mail address set forth at the end of this Limited Warranty. You will be required to pay the difference between the original purchase price of the System and that of the Upgrade System, plus the cost of any related additional system parts necessary for such Upgrade System.

The original purchaser is entitled to this Limited Warranty only if the date of purchase is registered at the point of sale or the purchaser can otherwise substantiate the date of purchase to Pig Brig®'s satisfaction. This warranty is for the original consumer purchaser only. It is not transferable. Proof of purchase must be presented by you and verified by us. PLEASE RETAIN YOUR ORIGINAL ORDER RECEIPT (AND WARRANTY CODE WHERE APPLICABLE TO SPECIAL PURCHASING PROGRAMS), AND REGISTER FOR THE 1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY (https://pigbrig.com/pages/warranty-registration) TO SUBSTANTIATE YOUR CLAIM.

YOU AGREE THAT YOU SHALL NOT: (A) REVERSE ENGINEER OR ATTEMPT TO REVERSE ENGINEER ANY SYSTEM OR ANY PORTION THEREOF, (B) CREATE DERIVATIVES AND/OR COPIES OF ANY SYSTEM OR ANY PORTION THEREOF, (C) FILE ANY PATENT APPLICATION OR OTHER APPLICATION FOR PROPRIETARY PROTECTION CONTAINING A CLAIM TO ANY SUBJECT MATTER DERIVED FROM THE SYSTEM, (D) UTILIZE A SYSTEM IN A MANNER THAT IS INCONSISTENT WITH APPLICABLE PRODUCT DOCUMENTATION, INCLUDING THE USER GUIDE OR OTHER INSTRUCTIONS, AND/OR (E) ASSIST ANY OTHER PARTY WITH ANY OF THE FOREGOING.

F. Disclaimer, limitation on liability

TO THE EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SYSTEM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND THIS WARRANTY IS YOUR EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY AND REPLACES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW AND EXCEPT AS SET FORTH IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, IN NO EVENT WILL PIG BRIG® OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE PRODUCTS OR OTHER SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SYSTEM OR ITS USE BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY, WHETHER UNDER THEORY OF CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), INDEMNITY, PRODUCT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE. THIS LIMITATION WILL APPLY EVEN IF PIG BRIG® HAS BEEN ADVISED OF SUCH DAMAGES AND NOTWITHSTANDING THE FAILURE OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF ANY LIMITED REMEDY. PIG BRIG®’S TOTAL LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID FOR THE SYSTEM GIVING RISE TO SUCH LIABILITY.

THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY IF THE PRODUCT HAS BEEN DAMAGED BY PRODUCTS NOT SOLD OR LICENSED BY PIG BRIG®. IN ADDITION, THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT APPLY IF THIS PRODUCT; (a) IS DAMAGED BY ANY UNAUTHORIZED MODIFICATIONS OR TAMPERING; or (b) IS DAMAGED BY NEGLIGENCE, ACCIDENT, UNREASONABLE USE, AN ACT OF NATURE (BY WAY OF EXAMPLE, BUT NOT LIMITATION, FIRE, FLOOD, WIND, LARGE LIVESTOCK (CATTLE, BEARS OR OTHER LARGE CLAWED WILDLIFE ARE EXAMPLES)), IMPROPER ASSEMBLY, OR BY OTHER CAUSES UNRELATED TO DEFECTIVE MATERIALS OR WORKMANSHIP.

THIS PRODUCT SHOULD BE STORED AS RECOMMENDED IN THE USER GUIDE OR OTHER INSTRUCTIONS WHEN NOT IN USE. THIS WARRANTY APPLIES TO CONSUMER USE ONLY AND IS NULL AND VOID IF THE PRODUCT IS USED IN ANY MANNER FOR WHICH IT IS NOT INTENDED. PIG BRIG® SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, CONSEQUENTIAL, INDIRECT, AND INCIDENTAL DAMAGES) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE PRODUCT OR FOR BREACH OF ANY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY, OR CONDITION ON THE PRODUCT.

ANY APPLICABLE IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD DESCRIBED ABOVE. IN NO EVENT SHALL PIG BRIG® BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM THE BREACH OF ANY IMPLIED OR EXPRESS WARRANTIES.

SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS OR EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM STATE TO STATE AND JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION.

G. Arbitration

In the event a dispute arises between you and Pig Brig® arising out of this Limited Warranty, such dispute will be determined and settled by binding arbitration between the parties, in accordance with the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”). More information about the AAA is located at www.adr.org, or you can call the AAA at 1-800-778-7879. Arbitration will take place in the State of Connecticut, USA.

You must seek arbitration for disputes arising out of this Limited Warranty prior to exercising any rights or seeking any remedies created by Title I of the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act. If you choose to pursue any rights and remedies that are not created by Title I of the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act, then arbitration is not required.

The arbitration will not be combined with any other proceeding or arbitration against one of the parties. Each party will designate one arbitrator and the two designated arbitrators will select a third arbitrator, who will serve as the chair of the arbitration panel. If the two arbitrators cannot agree on the third arbitrator, then the AAA will appoint the third arbitrator. Barring extraordinary circumstances, the arbitrators will issue their decision within 120 days from the date the third arbitrator is selected by the two designated arbitrators or appointed by the AAA. The arbitrators may extend this time limit for an additional 30 days in the interests of justice. All arbitration proceedings will be closed to the public and confidential and all related records will be permanently sealed, except as necessary to obtain court confirmation of the arbitration award. The decision and the arbitrators’ award will be in writing and will include a statement setting forth the reasons for the disposition of any claim. A dissenting decision will also be set forth in writing. The arbitrators’ award will be final and binding on the parties, and judgment thereon may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

H. Governing law

This Limited Warranty will be governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut.

Warning

Feral hogs are known to be intelligent, aggressive, and dangerous animals, especially when captured. They are wild animals and should be treated with caution and respect. Some wild animals are susceptible to certain diseases which can be transmitted to humans. Careful and safe practices may reduce these risks, but you can still become seriously injured dealing with wild animals and become sick if you have contact with the blood, fluid, or tissue from an infected hog.

Due to these inherent risks, as well as other dangers from trapping wild animals, by using the Pig Brig® Trap System, the user acknowledges, fully understands, and accepts the risks of interacting with these animals. Further, the user acknowledges and understands that unauthorized addition, removal, or substitution of any component parts to the Pig Brig® Trap System, including any unauthorized repairs or alterations performed, may lead to unintended product failure. The Pig Brig® Trap System is also not designed for long term containment of wild hogs, and it must be checked daily, preferably before first light. Failure to do so could lead to unanticipated product failure and the potential serious risks associated with such failure.

The metal T-posts, cam straps, netting, and anchor stakes can all pose a potential danger to other persons if they are not clearly visible. Thus, be careful to locate the Pig Brig® Trap System in an area where people will not typically pass. But if you must do so, locate it and mark it so that the Pig Brig® Trap System is clearly visible to other persons traveling in the area.

The user is also cautioned to only use the Pig Brig® Trap System in accordance with local / regional / national / international laws and regulations regarding the trapping of feral hogs.
