Business Development Representative

We're looking for a driven, curious, and adaptable individual to join our Business Development team as a Business Development Representative. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift, learning is ongoing, and engaging directly with customers is at the core of the work—working alongside and reporting directly to the Director of Business Development.

Location: Full-Time Remote: strong preference for FL, GA, SC, TX.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage work within a CRM (Hubspot), prioritizing strategic research for key outreach programs.
  • Engage with landowners, agencies, and conservation professionals to understand their unique challenges.
  • Provide guidance on wild pig management tools, and best practices.
  • Build relationships across state, local, and federal agencies, universities, NGOs, and other key stakeholders.
  • Support field demonstrations, events, and conferences as needed

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow up on leads and inquiries using our CRM system (training provided)
  • Assist with basic reporting and note-keeping to help the team stay aligned.
  • Support demo days, trade shows, or other field events as needed
  • Stay informed on product updates, pricing, and positioning to answer questions.
  • Help ensure customers feel heard, understood, and supported through the sales process.
  • Be responsive and communicative, internally and externally.
  • Some cold-emailing, phone calls and outreach will be required. Consultative sales process through education and problem solving.

Preferred Qualities (What We're Looking For)

  • Reliable and able to manage your time well
  • Comfortable working independently and owning follow-through
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative when something needs doing
  • Positive attitude with a focus on solutions
  • Comfortable talking to people in person, on the phone, or via email
  • Experience in agriculture, wildlife management, or sales is a plus, but not required.
  • CRM or digital tool experience is helpful, but we'll train the right person
  • Project management or project management tool experience is helpful, but we’ll train the right person

Nice-to-Haves (but Not Dealbreakers)

  • Familiarity with rural/agricultural communities
  • Experience in outreach and field sales
  • Experience in Wildlife management/trapping

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 65 pounds and drag or move items weighing up to 150 pounds.
  • Work may involve exposure to extreme temperatures depending on the season and location.
  • The role requires 30–60% annual travel, including both domestic and international air travel.
  • Must be comfortable working in varied outdoor environments, including uneven terrain, and able to climb or hike inclines as needed.
  • Extended periods using a computer, which will involve typing, exposure to a computer monitor, and prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk.
